St Pauls Community College
Created booklet on local heritage
The Heritage Keepers Programme is open to primary schools from all across Ireland. Your class will participate in 5 weekly workshops, each lasting approximately 1 hour, with an additional 1 hour of work for you to do with your class outside the session.
At the end of the programme, your class will plan a project that promotes or preserves an aspect of your local built, cultural, or natural heritage. Heritage Keepers can also provide a grant towards completing this action.
You may also apply for an additional grant which allows your class to organise its own field-trip to a heritage site in your area!
How to Apply for the Heritage Keepers Programme
A simple step by step guide. We work through submit.com for Heritage Keepers applications and surveys. It keeps everything in one place!
This means participants have to create an account with submit.com, but it only takes 2 minutes!
We are currently not accepting new applications. To register your interest for future Heritage Keepers Projects please leave your details and we will get back to you with future project opportunities!
They truly sparked a real enthusiasm in the students. It was a highlight for them, and we're so grateful for the opportunity!

Created a booklet on local history
The children created a presentation on local heritage
featuring map and lino prints which they created with the
help of a local artist. The lino prints are exhibited in the
local village this summer.
