Gort Tidy Towns

Researched and published a pamphlet documenting the history/heritage of the name “Gort Inse Guaire,” which is the name of our town and hosted a storytelling and information evening around the heritage/history published in the pamphlet and initiated the formation of a local Heritage Group. Many people do not know the full name, and don’t know where it came from. They enlisted the help of a local historian, and a local archeologist/illustrator, to tell the story well and create original illustrations documenting the primary local site that features in the story.
